Celebration of the Founder
A corporation wanted to bring their clients and contacts together to celebrate the 80th birthday of the founder. It was important to the hosting CEO, that the event reflect the founder’s personality since his flamboyant personality had been key to the corporation’s success and had been well-known throughout the industry.
The event was hosted at a historic Southern California golf club, connecting the founder’s love of the sport, and all the beautiful days and deals made while enjoying time with his clients. The décor was infused with the spirit of vintage Havana, celebrating the honoree’s penchant for jazz, blues, and cigars. Entertainment for the evening was knit together by a professional comedian, who had written jokes about the founder’s life, which were shared between personal accounts of the hosting CEO, as well as those of the colleagues and family of the founder. A cigar lounge provided a place for guests to bond over one of the founder’s favorite pastimes, and a “museum” highlighted mementos from the corporation and the founder’s life. The event concluded with a lively dance floor, with musical selections highlighting the founder’s love of dance and music throughout the decades.
